Accurate rifles are interesting. So are accurate rifle shooters. Generally speaking, however, the shooting sports are not spectator events. There are exceptions: Cowboy action shooting is very visual, and so are some of the modern "running and gunning" practical pistol and three-gun events. But unless you're a participant, many formal shooting disciplines are a lot like watching paint dry. Come to think of it, as many non-hunting spouses will attest, there are also probably better ways to observe and enjoy nature than as an "observer" on a hunt. Donna figured that out pretty quickly the first time she tagged along on a hunt. Participating is a whole lot more interesting, and she's been a hunter ever since.
