Scarce title by this noted explorer of Africa in collaboration with a female novelist. Set in 1880s in the foot hills of Mount Kilimanjaro the authors profess that all described is true in this romance novel. Joseph Thomson was a famous African explorer who wrote THROUGH MASAI LAND and TO THE CENTRAL LAKES AND BACK both tiles are deservedly sought after and hard to find in 1st editions. This two volume set is much scarcer than his other two titles and appears almost never for sale.
