John Millais, with his son Raoul, were in the Sudan hunting for buffalo, giant eland, roan, white-eared kob, and crocodile. Good section on swamp game, Nubian ibex and, as always, his lovely art work of game animals. In fact it was James Mellon who used some of the illustrations out of this books for his chapter on Sudan hunting in AFRICAN HUNTER. No other books from before WW II we know of captures the spirit of Sudan big-game hunting as well as this one.
