Partial autobiography of the famous hunter and naturalist who wrote SAVAGE SUDAN, ON SAFARI, etc. Chapters on the natural history of red grouse, black grouse also chapters on wildfowling, punt gunning, shooting wood cock as well as salmon. Chapman was an avid shotgunner as well as big-game hunter. Although an Englishman, when in Europe he had the habit of spending his winters in Spain when he did a tremendous amount of water fowling, shooting over 5000 ducks in one season alone.
