The story of Belmore Browne Hunter, Explorer, Artist, Naturalist, who toured the interior of Alaska in the early days of the 20th. Alaska was still pretty much unknown and no collection had ever been made of the great mammals of the North. Later he became a nationally-known artist while working for the American Museum of Natural History. Illustrated with color and black and white reproductions of original art by Belmore Browne, in addition to photographs from the archives of the Browne family.
