An odd Ward item as most of their publications used to center on big-game hunting. A beautifully produced work on the various species of geese. The plates are especially fine to look at. Contains 24 color chromolithograph plates of geese and their bills by F.W. Frohawk and colored frontispiece by Dr. P.P. Sushkin. An English translation by John Marshall, M.A., of the author's first edition which was published in Russia in 1904.
