A compete Amwell Press collection; contains 129 titles/multiple volume sets. The Amwell Press was an extension of the National Sporting Fraternity founded by Jim Rikhoff. It operated from 1976 to 2004 during which time it published some of the finest sporting literature of the period with writers such as Gene Hill, Elgin Gates, William Negely, Harry Tennison, Russell Annabel, Lamar Underwood, Harry Manners, Robert Foran, Charles Askins, John Batten, Arthur Rutledge, Jack O’Connor, Michael McIntosh, Bunny Allen, George Evans and dozens more. All books are limited editions, signed, numbered and slipcased. In addition, this collection contains an extensive amount of Amwell Press ephemera; over 80 original multi-page, 4-color brochures advertising publications and other Amwell/NSF programs as well as over 250 letters announcing books and hunting trips organized by the NSF. In addition there are brochures on prints, firearms and other programs the NSF used to conduct as well as many general multi-book promotions sent over the years.
