In 1895 the author traveled from Cape Town to Fort Salisbury (Harare) via Bechuanaland. Then he returned via Portuguese East Africa and landed up in Beira. Then he sailed to Delagoa Bay and Durban and subsequently visited the Transvaal, Cape Colony and the Orange Free State. Travel, not hunting.
