The author was the editor of the Rowland Ward's Records of Big Game for about a decade. In this atlas he profiles 121 different species with a 4-color map (often showing several subspecies) a silhouette of the animal, the tracks, a description of the distribution as well as the major biological facts such as height, weight, diet, age etc. Also give a graphic overview of Africa’s various vegetation zones as well as a distribution of the black rhino in 1900, 1950 and in 1980.
