ADVENTURES OF AN AMATEUR IN AFRICA

The Chapple Publishing Company Ltd. 1915 Boston, 410pp, illus, decorated cover. Very good minus copy. Item #000987

Author describes two lengthy hunting trips to Africa. In 1911 he went for the first time taking a .416 and .350 Rigby to bag among other things two lion. On his second trip in 1913 he took along a .405 and .33 Special Winchesters. His first trip was to British East Africa while the second trip was to Northwest Rhodesia. Especially interesting as there is very little in print on Zambian hunting from before World War I.

Price: $300.00
