Lew A. Cummings Co. 1945 (nd, circa), Manchester, NH, 39pp, photos. Very good in all aspects. Item #000878
G. Burton Davy went on a prolonged packing trip into the Canadian Rockies in the fall of 1944. He was outfitted with a rifle by Seymour Griffin (of Griffin and Howe fame) and got his clothes and sleeping bags from Eddie Bauer. He started from Wembly, Alberta on 26 August 1944. Traveling for 150 miles on horses the party reached the Porcupine Range of the Rockies with their outfitter Carl Brooks. Hunting for moose, goat, bighorn and bear, several sheep were shot by the party. A rarely encountered book accentuated with good quality b&w photos of the bighorn sheep and other trophies. A VERY SCARCE Rocky Mountain bighorn item.
